Update 10/25
Weather- a bit chilly, so this whole event is moving indoors. We have plenty of space.
Housing is available onsite for 19 people. As of Wed., we still have room for 15 people. Yes, there is plenty of heat to keep you comfy. You’ll need to bring your own linens / sleeping bag, but these are a combination of single bedrooms and rooms with 2 twin beds.
These are reserved for up to 2 nights. Fri. and Sat. night.
Fee - $75/person for both nights
So far we have 3 cooking teams and plenty of room to add more. If you are interested in competing, let us know. Got shut out for The Jack? Come join us instead. Although the cooking teams are responsible for cooking enough product for competition, we may add additional meat at our costs to accommodate feeding everyone.
Chili Cookoff - We added a Chili Cookoff to the mix to welcome the warm weather. Bring your best chili. We have power for any warming vessel you may need (Crock pot).

We can support a capacity of about 300 and it looks like we'll have at least 150, so bring your friends, family, cousins, neighbors, and anyone that likes great BBQ. Buying tickets in advance will help us plan accordingly. This event is indoors. We'll be in the Monroe Harding Gym.
We have some special guests joining us. Some of which we can share with you now.
Marianne Barnes, Master Distiller from Castle & Key will be joining us for this event. She is now 1 of the 2 Female Master Distiller’s in KY. She has been such a steward of working at Old Taylor’s bringing the whole place back to life.
Nelson Greenbrier donated a used whiskey barrel to us and we brokered a trade for some whiskey barrel aged stout from New Heights Brewery, Navel Gazer. This beer was aged in barrels with our own local Tennessee whiskey - Cumberland Cask. Jeff Fountain, head brewer, and Jason Eskind from Cumberland Cask plan to be at the event as well. Charlie will back later in the day.
Here’s the event schedule:
Fri. AM Cooking team being to arrive and continues during the day
Fri. Night – WH Member and Cooking Teams reception. This is our Oct. Member Only event as well.
